Why Locals Love Trattoria Ducezio Noto
Trattoria Ducezio Noto is a charming, authentic Italian restaurant tucked away at Via Ducezio, 51, in the heart of Noto, Sicily. This family-run trattoria warmly welcomes diners seeking genuine Sicilian flavors that feel lovingly homemade—almost as if you’re being treated to nonna’s cooking around a family table.
Though the space is modest and nestled in a quaint backyard setting with multiple cozy rooms, the intimate atmosphere here is part of its undeniable charm. The bustling local crowd enjoying hearty family dinners adds a vibrant, lived-in warmth that invites you to slow down and savor each bite.
The culinary experience at Trattoria Ducezio is a celebration of authentic Sicilian home cooking, with highlights that leave a lasting impression. The bruschetta is delightfully crisp and bursting with fresh, robust flavors—an ideal appetizer to awaken your palate. The pasta dishes, including ricotta and pork ravioli, are rich, delicate, and crafted with the kind of devotion that only time-honored family recipes can inspire.
Another standout is the refreshing orange salad, a Sicilian classic that combines juicy, sun-kissed citrus with the perfect hint of zest, offering a lively contrast to the warm, savory plates. While many guests opt for pizza, which comes highly recommended by locals and visitors alike, it’s the authentic Sicilian specialties that truly shine here.
While the wait staff primarily speak Italian, this language barrier adds to the intimate, genuine experience rather than detracting from it. You’ll find that hospitality here is expressed through warmth and home-style care rather than polished formality. Many diners have delighted in stumbling upon this hidden gem during off-peak hours, finding it one of the few places open late, with food that comforts and satisfies in equal measure.
For anyone who values authenticity and affordability—plus the joy of dining where locals gather—Trattoria Ducezio Noto offers a profoundly satisfying taste of Sicily. Whether you’re craving a late-night rescue meal or a memorable family-style dinner, this is the kind of place that quietly steals your heart and appetite away from the usual tourist spots.

It is a small family restaurant full of locals having family dinners. Delicious bruschetta and pasta, for good prices. Lots of people were ordering pizza, so it must be good too. The wait staff didn’t speak English, but it just added to the charm of the place. We were very glad to stumble upon this place that was one of the few places open on a winter weekday evening.

I was recommended this by a local, it has wonderful Sicilian dishes. All authentic and very, very affordable. We were the only tourists eating (perhaps a good sign). Loved the food, all delicious.

Tbh idk what to say. We were hungry and the food was acceptable at the time. Not the best service, not the best atmosphere, but having empty stomach on 01 AM it's the place for the rescue :)

Very good, authentic food food. We can recommend the bruschetta, the orange salad and the ricotta/pork ravioli. The restaurant is in a backyard and has multiple rooms.

Superb! Real Sicilian food, sensational taste, huge portions, moderate to low prices. Prawns with oranges, incredible. Highly recommended!

Recommended by locals and we don’t regret it at all. We had a wonderful dinner at Trattoria Ducezio in Noto. Tried lamb prepared in two different ways, and both dishes were absolutely delicious, authentic, flavorful, and truly Sicilian. You can really taste the quality and tradition in the food. They don’t have draft beer, which was a small disappointment, but we were pleasantly surprised by the local Messina beer, even from the bottle, it was very enjoyable. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere felt warm and family-like. Highly recommended!

The best Sicily pizza place! Very friendly staff they speak English, German and Italian as well. A place where, lot of locals come and eat. The chef are very friendly even cooked as a free dessert pizza! Recommend this place 100% when you come visit Notto. Rosso wine is also very good, definitely a word to try. Cheap pizza but amazing taste
